Teddy Bear Fund Drive

HC wins Baseball Challenge

The 2009-10 Teddy Bear Fund Drive campaign got off to a strong start Saturday, April 18 with the 2nd annual Teddy Bear Fund Drive Charity Baseball Game between Homer-Center and Indiana high schools under the lights at First Commonwealth Field in Homer City.

The Wildcats and Indians didn't disappoint, and neither did the fans, as $2,502.80 was raised during the game through tickets sales, 50/50s and raffle tickets.
Homer-Center beat Indiana in a wild game, 18-17, as more than 500 people cheered on the two teams. Many great prizes were raffled away and the fans saw a great baseball game that featured two comebacks by the Wildcats.

Renda Broadcasting thanks both teams and all the fans who came out for this 2009-10 inaugural event. We look forward to many more great Teddy Bear Fund Drive events in 2009 and beyond.
