An Indiana Man accused of trying to kidnap a 17-year-old girl has waived his preliminary hearing and will stand trial in Indiana County Court.

Fifty-eight year old Andrew Edwards will be facing charges of kidnapping, unlawful restraint, stalking, simple assault and harassment for an incident on Marion Road in White Township.  Police say on December 15^th, he walked up behind a girl walking on that road, grabbed her by the arm and around her stomach, and said, “Come With Me”.  The girl was able to fight back and get away from her attacker.

 

Police arrested Edwards on December 17^th.  Right now he is in Indiana County Jail on $100,000 bond.  A trial date has not been set as of yet.
