The security issue was discussed once again at last night's Marion Center School Board work session.

At a prior meeting, the marion center school board put together a list of security concerns.  Among the items from that list that was discussed last night was having an armed guard in the school, whether it was a retired state trooper or a member of a private security firm.  Costs were also discussed, with one  former state trooper costing the district over $37,000 a year.

During public comment, two people voiced opposing opinions on the topic.

School Board President Gregg Sacco encouraged everyone to attend the monthly work sessions and school board meetings, as that would give everyone the opportunity to voice their opinions.
