A Business in Indiana is receiving over $9,000 in state Department of Environmental Protection grant funding.
The State DEP awarded over $290,000 in grants to 36 small businesses throughout the state to help them invest in energy-efficiency or pollution-prevention projects. The money is from the State’s Small Business Advantage Grant Program, which is funded through the Hazardous Sites Cleanup Act. The money will be used for energy-efficiency projects, like upgrades to Heating/Ventilation/Air Conditioning units, high-efficiency lighting and the installation of heat pumps. In Indiana County, Environmental Service Laboratories will receive the maximum grant amount of $9500. This will be matched by ESL for an upcoming project, although details on the project have not been released.
