STATE HOUSE TO TALK TRANSPORTATION BILL NEXT WEEK

Next week, the state house will start considering the senate’s transportation funding plan. 

According to reports, the House will take up the topics of the PA Turnpike’s debt, public transportation, effects on the State agriculture industry, and bicycling.  On Tuesday, Pennsylvania Auditor General Eugene DePasquale is scheduled to talk with the house on the Turnpike’s mandated debt load among other issues. 

Also this week, the state house education committee will meet, to talk about the Safe Schools Grant Program to provide grants to school entities for safety expenses, and discussion will also come up concerning more thorough employment screening concerning school positions that involve direct contact with children.
