Event on Thursday April 8 at Jimmy Stewart Museum

IUP President Dr. Michael Driscoll and Indiana Mayor George Hood have announced a community open forum to be held next week to give residents an opportunity to ask questions and share concerns about the university’s relationship with the borough.

Driscoll says he has learned a lot from a series of meetings with Indiana Borough, White Township, and Indiana County leaders and citizens, and he says one of his key goals is to strengthen IUP’s collaboration with the borough and the rest of the county.

Mayor Hood says he has always enjoyed a good relationship with IUP, and he hopes meetings such as the one next week will become regular events.

The open forum will be held in the theater of the Jimmy Stewart Museum from 6 to 8 PM next Thursday, and is free and open to any community resident.  The event will be moderated by police chief and borough manager William Sutton.
