Package of pot delivered to Indiana apartment while police were there

An arrest warrant has been issued for a Montgomery County man who is facing drug charges after a search of his apartment in Indiana on Wednesday.

Indiana Borough police say they received a tip about possible drug activity at an apartment in the 300 block of South 6th Street.  They investigated the tip and eventually were granted a search warrant for the apartment, and found that 24-year-old Shawn Haines of Ambler, PA, had approximately two pounds of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.  While they were executing that search warrant, a package was delivered to the apartment, so they got another search warrant and searched the package, finding ten more pounds of marijuana.

Police filed a criminal complaint with District Judge Guy Haberl and charged Haines with felony possession with intent to deliver marijuana along with misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance, possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
