A standoff between State Police and a Brockway Man has ended in the death of the man who shot at police.

Reports say that the suspected shooter, Kenneth Lees Sr. is dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The standoff with police started Thursday afternoon as a trooper was trying to serve a warrant to a man on Cemetery Hill Road in Brockway, and when the state trooper got there, he was shot in the neck.  The officer, who was not named in the report, was flown to Altoona Hospital for treatment.  At this time, the trooper is in critical condition.

Tracey Zents of the Department of Emergency Services said that the Brockway Schools were in Lockdown, and the children were released around 6:00 PM Thursday.

More information will be available as it comes in.
