Limb collection starts tomorrow

Indiana Borough begins its autumn cleanup efforts this week with the start of its limb collection program.   Borough Public Works Director Dave Fairman says the limb shredder's collection route will begin tomorrow with the First Ward, then Wednesday to the Fourth Ward, Thursday the Second Ward, and Friday the ThirdWard.  The easy way to remember that is to put the limbs out on the day after your normal garbage collection.

The chipped and shredded limbs will be weighed and will count toward the borough’s recycling total.  Fairman asks that you be sure you are only putting limbs of no larger than six inches diameter between your curb and sidewalk, and that there be no garden refuse, grass clippings, or leaves.

Leaf collection will begin next week.  The leaf vac will run a continuous loop starting with the Fourth Ward, then through the First, Second, and Thirdwards through Wednesday, November 27. There should be leaves only, no grass or woody materials.  Leaves should be raked in loose piles (not bagged) to the space between your curb and the sidewalk.
