Resurfacing project to last into August

A cross-county resurfacing project has begun on the Dayton-Smicksburg Road from Armstrong County into IndianaCounty.  3.5 miles of the road will be repaired from Route 839 near the Dayton Fairgrounds to the town of Smicksburg. It’s part of a $1.336 million project that is expected to be completed in early August.  Traffic will be controlled by flaggers during daylight hours throughout the work schedule.

Also in Armstrong County, PennDOT has scheduled a public meeting to show the plans for work on Route 422 between Elderton and Kittanning.  The Wray Plan and Kittanning Elementary School intersections in KittanningTownship are scheduled for improvements.  The meeting to display the plans is open house-style, tomorrow from 5 to7 PM at the Kittanning Township fire hall.
