A Saint Vincent College student is facing child pornography charges.
School officials contacted state police after discovering the images on the computer of 19-year-oldTyler Hess of Erie. Police say that Hess had dropped off his computer at a student-run help center in April because he had a virus. The students contacted the police after discovering pictures and video of child porn on the laptop computer.
A criminal complaint was filed on July 21 at the office of Distict Justice Michael Mahady.
Hess is being charged with sexual abuse of children. He has a preliminary arraignment scheduled for August 19.
