The Marion Center School Board approved a contract with the district's adminstrators at last night's meeting.

The new administrator contract was approved with just one member, Lori Marshall, voting against it. The deal includes pay raises for Marion Center administrators, but also includes more employee contributions in areas such as healthcare.

Board President Gregg Sacco says it was important that the new contract be competitive, especially since administrative positions are so sought after at district's all over the region.

In other business, the board accepted the retirement of high school science teacher John Petrosky. Petrosky spent nearly 40 years with Marion Center, mainly as a Chemistry teacher.
