FORMER GAZETTE EMPLOYEE CHARGED WITH TAKING COMPANY CARS FOR TRIPS
Suspect even took cars when he was no longer employed at newspaper

A former employee at the Indiana Gazette is facing charges for illegally using the newspaper’s company cars and gas debit cards to take trips to northeastern Pennsylvania.

 

Indiana Borough police say 24-year-old Justin Lloyd confessed to driving to Wilkes-Barre in the Gazette’s vehicles, using company gas cards to fill the tank along the way.  Police say he stole the keys from the newspaper’s offices on September 7th, while he was still an employee, and on October 7th, when he was no longer with the company. 

 

Lloyd was arraigned before Judge Guy Haberl on charges of  burglary, theft, criminal trespass, unauthorized use of an automobile, and criminal mischief.  He was released on $10,000 unsecured bond, with a preliminary hearing coming up on November 1st
