InWestmorelandCountytoday, Judge John Blahovec will conduct a pretrial conference with prosecutors and the attorneys for Clayton Mibroda of Bolivar, who is accused of killing his 20-day-old daughter last December.
Natalee Mibroda was born six weeks premature to Clayton Mibroda and Kayla Lichtenfels, and was in the care of her father at the time she suffered fatal injuries. She was pronounced dead after being brought to theIndianaRegionalMedicalCenter, and an autopsy showed injuries to her head and chest which were inflicted just before the time of death, according to CoronerMike Baker, and one injury that was probably a day or two old. The father told investigators multiple stories to explain Natalee’s injuries, including that she started having difficulty breathing while he fed her from a bottle and he performed CPR on her until paramedics arrived, and later, that he tripped and fell while carrying her. He also told a paramedic that the baby stopped breathing as he removed her from her car seat.
Mibroda has been held without bond in the Westmoreland County Jail since his arrest on December 28th.
