JOHNSTOWN HUNTER RESCUED AFTER FALL FROM TREE STAND

11/12/2012

Police say a hunter was taken to the hospital after he was found hanging upside down in his tree stand near Old Mission Road in Brushvalley Township.

Police say they were called to that area on Saturday just before 6 p.m. after receiving reports of a man yelling for help.  After a search of the area, they found 63-year-old James Yoder hanging by his foot upside down.

Yoder told police he had fallen out of the tree stand.  He was taken to Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center for treatment.
