NO TAX INCREASE IN CLYMER BUDGET

11/14/2012

The Clymer Borough Council passed a preliminary budget last night that does not include a tax increase.

Clymer’s preliminary budget does not include a tax increase, instead maintaining taxes at 31 mils.  Borough manager Rob Barto says council was able to increase spending in some important areas while keeping taxes level.  It includes more funding for storm sewer and other infrastructure work.

Council member Louis Tate reminded residents that leaf pick-up will continue through the end of November.  Rob Barto says there are several important things for residents to remember when it comes to the pick-up of leaves.  Residents need to make sure the leaves are bagged and placed at the curbside.

In other business, Rob Barto says the new holiday decorations are in and will be installed soon.
