The Marion Center School Board was updated on the district’s bullying policies at their meeting Monday night.  Principals from both the elementary schools and high school told the board they take a proactive approach toward addressing bullying, utilizing an open door policy to keep students at ease.

Board President Greg Sacco says although the recent tragedies involving suicides across Indiana County do not appear to have involved bullying – it is good to see Marion Center keeping a close eye on it.

The board also voted to finance a bond from 2008, looking to save at least $100,000 by taking advantage of low interest rates.
