In Indiana County Court today, sentencing is scheduled for several defendants in criminal cases.

Included among them is 19-year-old Shane Negron of Mentcle, who pleaded guilty in September to a single felony charge of statutory sexual assault for having sexual relations with a 14-year-old girl in Pine Township in June.  Charges of aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault, and corruption of minors were dropped.

22-year-old Zachary Christian Reed of Blairsville, will be sentenced for a guilty plea to one misdemeanor count of corruption of minors.  Felony charges of unlawful contact with a minor-sexual offenses and criminal use of a communications facility were dropped.  Reed was arrested in June for sending explicit photos to a 15-year-old girl. 

19-year-old Rachel McCracken of Indiana will be sentenced for guilty pleas to possession of a controlled substance, theft, and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.  Charges of receiving stolen property, possession with intent to deliver, and possession of both a small amount of marijuana and of drug paraphernalia were dropped. 

All of the defendants will be sentenced by Judge Tom Bianco.
