Indiana County District Attorney is detailing two child porn investigations in Indiana County.  The first is out of Indiana borough.  Officials say a search warrant was served on a house in the borough on November 17th.  The search was the result of an undercover investigation involving the possession and dissemination of child pornography.  The investigation was launched by the Indiana County District Attorney’s office on October 30th of this year.  Two computers, two external hard drives and a spindle containing multiple CDs were seized during the search.  Officials say thousands of videos and pictures depicting child pornography were found on the items.  Police aren’t releasing the name of the person or names of the people involved.  Charges are forthcoming in the case.


Meanwhile, a Blairsville man is facing child pornography charges after an investigation by the district attorney’s office.  A search warrant was served on a residence in Blairsville on Saturday.  Officials say computers and other media were removed from the house.  As a result, 44-year-old Charles Payson was taken into custody.  He’s facing a long list of charges, including:  Possession of Child Pornography, Distribution of Child Pornography, Production of Child Pornography and Tampering with Evidence.  Payson was taken to the Indiana County Jail.  Both investigations involved the work of the Indiana County Detective’s Bureau, state and local police, the Internet Crimes against Children Task Force and the State Police Computer Crime Task Force.
