An Apollo-area teenager was killed Friday in a sled riding accident.

16-year-old Jenna Prusia was sledding on private property along McCreary Road in Washington Township, Westmoreland County when she and her sister, riding together, struck a tree.  The accident happened at about 4:30 PM.  Prusia was flown to Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh, where she was pronounced dead of head injuries about two hours later.

Prusia was a junior at Kiski Area High School.
