An Aultman man was killed in an early morning accident on Saturday. 


Indiana County Coroner Michael Baker said it happened on Route 217 just south of Blacklick Road around 6:30 a.m.


Baker said 20-year-old Thomas Kalgren was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.  The cause of death is listed as blunt force trauma. 


Baker added that heavy fog in the area could have contributed to the accident.

The Indiana County Coroner's Office has confirmed the death of an Center Township man early Saturday morning. Coroner Michael Baker said 20 year-old Thomas Wayne Kelgran was killed when his sport utility vehicle traversd the shoulder of the roadway and struck several trees on Route 217 Hwy N approximately one mile south of Blacklick Road in Blacklick Township.

The accident occurred in heavy fog conditions and was reported to the Indiana County 911 Center at 6:22 AM. Baker said
Kelgran sustained Blunt Force Trauma of the Head and Chest and was entrapped in the vehicle for some time. No autopsy was performed and toxicology tests are pending. Firefighters from Blairsville and Aultman VFDs assisted at the scene. EMS personnel from Citizens' Ambulance Service also responded.

State Police from the Indiana station investigated the circumstances surrounding the crash. Funeral
arrangements are incomplete.
