County's largest annual blood collection effort

Indiana County’s largest annual community blood drive happens today.  The Red Cross blood drive is from 9 AM to 7 PM at the Rustic Lodge, with special refreshments, prize drawings, and appreciation items for donors.

The flu epidemic has affected blood supplies, and the Red Cross is hoping that today’s effort will replenish their depleted resources.  If you are healthy and you feel well today, they’d like you to come.  And if you’ve recently received a flu shot, that’s no problem, because there is no waiting period that must pass before you donate.

Donors will receive a long-sleeved tee short and a coupon for a free donut, while supplies last, and there are special refreshments provided by area restaurants, businesses, and community groups.  There will also be drawings for gift baskets throughout the day.

Walk-ins are welcome today, and again it’s from 9 AM to 7 PM at the Rustic Lodge.
