A Kittanning man is dead after an accident last night in Armstrong Township.  Indiana County Coroner Michael Baker says that 31-year-old Brendon Miller lost control of his vehicle along Route 422 near Trim Tree Road around 10:47 p.m.

The car crossed the centerline of the roadway and collided with another vehicle head-on.  The driver of that vehicle, a 25-year-old Indiana woman whose name has not been released, was flown to UPMC with severe injuries.  Police say she was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from her vehicle.

A 3-year-old girl in her vehicle was in a child safety seat but had minor injuries from the accident. Baker says it isn’t clear what caused Miller’s car to cross the centerline and he has not ruled out a sudden medical problem.  An autopsy is planned for today to determine the definitive cause of death.
