Hazmat crews were called to the scene of an accident this morning involving a tractor trailer and a train.  The accident happened in the village of Salina in Bell Township.

Emergency officials say the tractor trailer driver was trying to turn around and backed onto the tracks when the train hit it around 7:30 a.m.  They say a 55-gallon drum of xylene, which is a flammable cleaning agent, spilled and Hazmat teams were needed for cleanup.  Three engines and three train cars derailed after the accident.

The driver of a tractor-trailer driver was taken to the hospital for a bruise on his head.  No other injuries were reported.
