The Marion Center School Board holds its monthly work session meeting tonight.  On the agenda is discussion of the district’s preliminary budget for the year ahead. 


The preliminary budget comes in at $22,411,867 with a tax millage rate of 102.48.  There’s no word on any tax increase associated with the preliminary budget.  Also up for discussion at tonight’s meeting are new band uniforms. 


A proposal listed on tonight’s agenda calls for the district to accept a bid for uniforms from a company in Massachusetts in the amount of $57,464 for 104 Band uniforms and 50 Color Guard uniforms.  Tonight’s work session meeting is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. at the McCreery Elementary School library.
