HEARINGS TODAY IN DRUG CASES BEFORE MAGISTERIAL DISTRICT COURTS
Three defendants in one case related to overdose death

Preliminary hearings are scheduled for today for three people on charges of drug delivery resulting in death.  32-year-oldGregory Earl Nash Jr. of Pittsburgh is being held in the Indiana County Jail with bond set at $100,000.  29-year-old Heather McGee of Indiana is being held on $75,000 bond.  32-year-old Lindsy Diamond of Indiana is free after posting $75,000 bond.  The incident dates back to last July, but the charges were filed in December.  All three defendants face four felony charges: conspiracy to deliver drugs resulting in death, criminal use of a communication facility, and two other conspiracy charges for possession; as well as misdemeanor conspiracy to involuntary manslaughter.  They’re due before District Judge Jennifer Rega this afternoon. (1:15 PM)

 

 

There is also a hearing today for 34-year-old Barry Baker ofNew Kensington, who was arrested in December at the Best Western in SouthtownePlaza in WhiteTownship.  State troopers were there to arrest two other drug suspects and found Baker with marijuana, crack cocaine, drug paraphernalia, and 180 stamp bags of heroin.  He also gave police a phony name and several stories about how he came to be in the room.  He’s been held since then in the Indiana County Jail with bond set at $250,000, facing three felony charges of possession with intent to deliver, a felony count of criminal use of a communication facility, and several misdemeanors.  Baker is due before District Judge Susanne Steffee this morning (10:15 AM).
