POLL: PEOPLE WANT TO BE A PART OF THE PITTSBURGH MARATHON

Even after the bombings at the Boston Marathon, many people in a Pennsylvania-Wide poll say that they would still take part in the Pittsburgh Marathon.

According to a Quinnipeac University Poll of Pennsylvania Voters, 88 Percent of those polled said that if they planned to run in the Pittsburgh Marathon or attend the marathon in person, they would still do so.  94 Percent of voters also say that the Marathon should go on, while 89 percent say that the marathon will be safe.

A total of 36 percent of PA Voters say they are very worried or somewhat worried that a family member will be a victim of a terrorist attack, while 64 percent say they are not too worried or not worried at all.  And 78 percent of those polled said the events of the Boston Marathon would not make them less likely to attend large events of any kind.
