PennDOT will host a public display tonight of plans for a proposed Route 119/Old Route 119 Connector Road Project in Center Township.
The preliminary design will be available for review and the agency encourages public input before the plans are finalized.
The meeting tonight is from 5:30 to7 o’clock at the social hall at the Homer City Fire Company on West Church Street.
Meanwhile, work continues to progress on Old Route 119 in Center Township, where crews have completed the first phase of a two-part project.
New traffic patterns go into effect today as the bridge carrying the highway over Two Lick Creek closes for replacement. Old 119 will remain closed from Lisle Street toTwo Lick Road for Phase Two. The first phase involved lowering the road to allow for more clearance overhead.
The detour will use Wayne Avenue, Route 119, and Old Route 56. It’s a $2.25 million project scheduled for completion in mid-October.
