Public display of designs

5/9/2013

Last night, PennDOT officials met with the public concerning the upcoming Route 119 connector road project.

The proposed project will eliminate all the current left-hand turns from 119, in or out of Greenville Road, Lockard Avenue, and Grover and Short streets, and provide a connector road to connect the current Route 119 to Old Route 119 near the Sheetz Gas Station.  The meeting had a lot of people from Homer City turn out and according to PennDOT Project Manager Mark Rozich, people understand why this project's being done, in regards to safety due to the high number of crashes in the project area.

The project is anticipated to start in the Spring of 2016.
