Route 28 in Boggs Township reopened yesterday, after extensive work to repair the roadway after a landslide on May 31st.  The area reopened nine days earlier than PennDOT had expected, because officials say crews worked around the clock to clear and repair the roadway.

This section of the roadway is located north of the intersection with Route 85 near Kittanning.  A detour had been in place around the area impacted by the slide and PennDOT officials say they had fielding plenty of calls from people upset about the closure.
