7/24/2013

The Homer City man charged in the sexual assault of four young sisters is due for a preliminary hearing today at 11 AM before District Judge Jennifer Rega.   The hearing was pushed back to today from July 3rd.

19-year-old Robert Lawson is charged with eight counts of rape, including four counts of rape of a child.  He’s facing eight other felony counts related to sexual misconduct involving children; four felony counts of corruption of minors; plus twelve misdemeanor counts of various forms of indecent assault.  The victims were ages 6, 8, 9 and 11.

Lawson reportedly lived for some time with the girl’s mother and her boyfriend in Burrell Township, and also baby-sat for the couple.  Court documents state that he admitted to raping the girls “on numerous occasions.”

He is being held at the Indiana County Jail on $100,000 bond.
