After evacuating employees and searching for several hours, no bomb was found at the Indiana Regional Medical Center.

Hospital Sources confirmed that a bomb threat was received by IRMC was received Friday evening around 5:40.  At that point, IRMC went into lockdown, with no one allowed in except emergency personnel.  Employees were being evacuated around 8:00 by hospital security while a command post was set up inside the hospital.  Indiana-Based State Police along with Indiana Borough Police searched the entire hospital and around 10:52, IRMC Security Director Danny Sacco confirmed that the all-clear was given.

Hospital officals say that it’s now business as normal at IRMC, but as a precaution, extra security will be on IRMC’s main campus this weekend, so those who are visiting the hospital should not be frightened if they do see an increased security presence.

Indiana-Based State Police are not saying anything about a suspect, but the investigation is on-going at this time.
