Funds from FAA and PennDOT program


The state on Friday announced another round of airport funding, including money for the Jimmy Stewart Airport.


The funds from the Federal Aviation Administration and the state’s aviation development program total almost $5.7 million - $5.4 million from the feds - and included in that amount is $196,000 for the removal of runway obstructions at Jimmy Stewart. 


Six airports in Western Pennsylvania received grants.  The others are two airports in Beaver County, and on each in Butler, Fayette, and Washington counties.
