SMALL EXPLOSIONS IN CLYMER CALL FIRE DEPARTMENT OUT ON FALSE ALARM

10/19/2013

State Police are investigating some incidents where people are intentionally setting fire to some unknown explosive devices and scaring several residents.

Police say this happened Friday evening around 8:00, and as a result of this, four fire departments were activated for a reported commercial structure fire at the Nitnany Minute Mart on Franklin Street, which turned out to be unfounded.  There were no reported injuries or property damage.  Police did say that a silver colored four-door car with black wheels was seen fleeing the scene of one of the explosions, along the 200 block of Penn Street.

Police have not listed any suspects, but they are asking for your help.  If you have any information, contact police at 724-357-1960.
