State police say someone gained access to the credit card information of a North Mahoning Township woman and used it to make purchases on the internet.  Aime Sue Robinson of Beaver Drive, Rochester Mills, reported that the thief charged $439 to her account.


Around 10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, Indiana Borough Police were called to the intersection of North 6th Street and Water Street for a vehicle accident. They found that the vehicle causing the accident had fled the scene. Police located that fleeing vehicle and found that it was operated by Zachary Stroud. Stroud was found intoxicated and driving with a suspended driver’s license. He resisted arrest while being arrested for DUI and several traffic violations. Stroud was taken into custody and later released. A criminal complaint was filed at Magistrate Haberi’s office, charging Stroud with DUI, accidents involving damage to attended vehicle or property, driving while suspended, duty of driver to give information and render aid, traffic control signals, and resisting arrest.


Early morning Sunday, Oct. 20, around 1:30 a.m., Indiana Borough Police found 19-year-old Jennifer Zylak to be highly intoxicated. She had walked off a sidewalk and was nearly struck by a police cruiser in the 200 block of South 7th Street. Zylak was arrested and cited for Public Drunkenness and Underage Drinking. She was later released to a sober adult.
