Wagner to start work January 1

The ARIN Intermediate Unit board of directors this week authorized a four-year contract for its new executive director, James J. Wagner.  He was hired in September to replace Dr. Robert Coad, who retired after 29 years at ARIN.

The contract, running from January 1st of 2014 to December 31st, 2017, calls for a starting salary of $120,000 for Wagner, who comes to ARIN from the Seneca Valley Intermediate Unit.

The board on Tuesday also dealt with a number of personnel items, including the hiring of staff and the setting of supplemental salaries for employees with extra duties.  It also authorized an agreement with Bayada Nursing Services for an LPN/RN for transportation services through the end of June.

The December meeting was cancelled.  ARIN’s board will meet next on January 21st.
