Announcement today by Bridge Educational Foundation

11/22/2013

A Harrisburg-based educational scholarship organization will announce today a donation of $45,000 in scholarships to families in Indiana County.

The Bridge Educational Foundation, which raises scholarship funds through the state’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit program, will make the announcement at 9 AM at the Seeds of Faith Christian Academy at 640 Church Street.

The $45,000 in scholarship funding comes from Verizon and United Healthcare, both of which will have representatives at today’s event.  Others scheduled to attend include students from the St. Bernard School, Indiana Wesleyan School, Seeds of Faith Christian Academy, and Calvary Baptist Academy, along with State Representative Dave Reed, State Senator Don White, and Natalie Nutt of the Bridge Educational Foundation.

The Educational Improvement Tax Credit program offers state tax credits for businesses that contribute to scholarship organizations.
