SINC-UP project begins this week

PennDOT says work has begun on the traffic light SINC-UP project announced just last week as part of the new transportation funding plan.

The project, valued at more than $780,000, includes signal upgrades and retiming of various lights on Route 286 and Route 4422 (Ben Franklin Road) in Indiana Borough and White Township. The contract also includes replacing of a signal in Kittanning Borough.  The removal of the traffic light on Main Street in Homer City is also a part of the project but that is not ready to start yet.

PennDOT says the work will be completed before the end of the year.
