Several sentencing hearings are scheduled today for Indiana County Common Pleas Courts.  Among those who will be sentenced today are:


  • Timothy Shirley of Indiana, as he pleaded guilty to one count of corruption of minors.  The charges came from incidents where he asked several juvenile girls to send inappropriate pictures of themselves between May 1st and August 10th of last year.
  • Joseph Karpacs the Third, who pleaded guilty to a felony count of receiving stolen property in one case.  He also faces other burglary and drug related charges in two other cases, both of which are scheduled for sentencing today.
  • Gregory Lydick, who pleaded guilty to one misdemeanor charge of Theft by unlawful taking from an incident back in December of 2011.  In exchange for his guilty plea, the District Attorney agreed not to prosecute 10 felony counts of forgery.
  • Robert Clark, who pleaded guilty to involuntary deviate sexual intercourse in exchange for non-prosecution on felony charges of rape, sexual assault, and aggravated indecent assault and misdemeanor indecent assault in an incident in June of 2008. 


Sentencing will get underway at 8:30 this morning.
