State Attorney General Kathleen Kane announced that an Indiana County man was recently taken into custody on charges related to child pornography.

According to a criminal complaint, 42-year-old John O’Harra of Hillsdale was arrested on Tuesday.  During the investigation, agents with the Attorney General’s office found several suspected child pornography files being made available on a peer-to-peer file sharing service, and reportedly, the computer’s IP address was later traced to O’Harra’s apartment.  During a search of the apartment, State Police seized a laptop computer that allegedly has child porn files on it.  O’Harra is now in Indiana county jail in lieu of $100,000 cash bail.  His preliminary hearing is set for July 22nd.

This was one of eight such busts across the state reported by the State Attorney General’s office.  None of the busts are related, but they were all part of the Attorney General’s ongoing effort to target online sharing, downloading and distribution of child pornography.
