On September 9, 2012, Anna H. Janosko, our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, closed her eyes for the last time and went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
She was born July 31, 1920, in Anita, Pennsylvania, to Elva and Walter Henry.
Mrs. Janosko graduated in 1938 from Green Township High School. She married Charles L. Janosko on July 7, 1940 and celebrated 48 ½ years of marriage prior to his passing away in 1990.
Anna had worked at the electric office and later at Season-All Industries and Hills Dept. Store in Indiana. She was a 60-year member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Clymer. She was a published poet and writer, a kind-hearted soul and an inspiration to all who knew her. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by six children: David of Alpena, Michigan, Tom and wife Linda, Cheryl and husband Larry, Mark, Tim and wife Nancy, Dan and wife Virginia, all of Indiana County. She was also known as grandma to 22 grandchildren and “GG” to 18 great-grandchildren, who loved her very much.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband Charles; a sister, Florence; an infant daughter; and her dear daughter-in-law, Patricia Janosko.
Friends will be received on Thursday, Sept. 13, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Harry J. Bence Funeral Home in Clymer. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Kris McNutt officiating. Interment will follow in Rowley Cemetery in Montgomery Twp., Indiana County.
