Elizabeth Mae (Kosperski) Blazavich, 83, of Clymer, PA, passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2012, at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown.
A daughter of William and Katherine Louise (Suwolitch) Kosperski, she was born February 12, 1929, in Luciousboro, Pennsylvania.
Mrs. Blazavich was a homemaker and member of the Church of the Resurrection (Clymer site) and the Clymer Slovak Club.
Elizabeth lived most of her life in Clymer. She enjoyed her gardening, baking, crocheting and being with family and friends.
She is survived by her six children: Gary and wife Lois of Clymer, Alex W. and wife Ellen of Indiana, Debra Wheeler and husband Duane of Driftwood, Janice Dunlevy and husband Robert of Creekside, Cindy Dickey and husband Earl of Austintown, Ohio, Antoinette Zack and Ken Lower Jr. of Clymer; 10 grandchidlren: Brian Blazavich, Tonya Kendra and husband Michael, Douglas Blazavich and wife Rosie, Christine Suzek and husband Adam, Heather Bothell and husband Dennis, Thomas Torrell and wife Misty, Nicole Elizabeth Cottrill and husband Robert, Chance Metz, Michelle Wheeler, and Gabriel Zack; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Margaret Nowak of Akron, Ohio, and Julia Shirley of Clymer; a brother, Larry Barkley and Kitty Porter of Mohawk, New York; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Alex A. Blazavich in Oct. 2000; and a brother, George E. Kosperski.
Friends will be received at the Harry J. Bence Funeral Home in Clymer from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 12. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13, at the Church of the Resurrection in Clymer. Interment will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery in Indiana.
