Shirley I. Deyarmin, 82, of Indiana, passed away, Tuesday, December 25, 2012, at Beacon Ridge.
A daughter of the late Paul and Marie Boring Deyarmin, she was born November 28, 1930, in Pittsburgh.
Mrs. Deyarmin was a homemaker and a member of the United Church of God, where she sang in the choir. She was recently elected as President of Council at Beacon Ridge. Mrs. Deyarmin liked to draw and enjoyed cooking and gardening.
She is survived by seven children: Russell P. “Buddy Dee” Deyarmin and wife Janet, of Brush Valley; Charlene Hearn and husband Thomas, of Shippenville; Melvin R. “Sonny” Deyarmin and wife Cindy, of Indiana; Leonard L. Deyarmin and wife Joan, of Indiana; Lois L. Troup and husband Terry, of Penn Run; Kathy L. Smith and husband Kenneth, of Indiana; and Gary David Deyarmin, of Indiana; a brother, Gary Deyarmin, of McConnellsburg; two sisters: Pauline Cloutier, of Blairsville; and Kathie Hoke, of New Cumberland; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin A. Deyarmin; a son, Richard Deyarmin; and two brothers: Ronald Paul Deyarmin, and Richard Wayne Deyarmin.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Robinson-Lytle, Inc., Indiana, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday with Pastor Keith Wilson officiating. Interment will be in the Cherryhill Progressive Brethren Cemetery.
