Kenneth L. Butterworth, 71, of Indiana, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2013, at his residence.
A son of the late Christopher L. and Ruby M. Smith Butterworth, he was born July 24, 1941, in Indiana.
Mr. Butterworth proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was the owner and operator of the Butterworth Auto Sales in Indiana for many years. Ken enjoyed working on cars and being the family oriented man that he was, he loved sharing his racing enthusiasm with his son and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Beverly J. Rummel Butterworth, of Indiana; three children: Kristina Lorelli and husband Ernie, of Indiana; Tricia M. Bush and husband Christopher, of Erie; and Bradley S. Butterworth and wife Christen, of Indiana; six grandchildren: Adam Bush, Sarah Bush, Irena Bush, Collin Butterworth, Brooke Butterworth and Samantha Butterworth; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Dennis Christopher Butterworth.
Friends will be received from 5 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Robinson-Lytle, Inc., Indiana, with The Rev. Daniel W. Little officiating.
