Linda L. McCurdy, 64, of Lucernemines, passed away Monday, Nov. 25, 2013, at Indiana Regional Medical Center.
A daughter of the late Gordon M. Helman and Ethel M. Hinton Helman Condor, she was born May 30, 1949.
Mrs. McCurdy was a homemaker. She enjoyed playing bingo, watching football and baseball games and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Larry A. McCurdy; four children: Tammy Bender and friend Dave Smychynsky, of Lucernemines; Terry Weiss and husband Jeff, of Shelocta; Linda Yacavone and husband Peter, of Ernest; and Ronda Hollenbaugh and husband Dave, of Lucernemines; two brothers: Leroy Helman, of GA; and Wayne Helman, of GA; three sisters: Connie Boyer, of Indiana; Edna Sipos, of Waterman; Cheryldine Helman, of GA; two stepsisters: Donna Kunkle, of Homer City; and Anna Olsen, of Homer City; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Tina Bothel; her stepfather, Joseph Condor; three brothers: Arthur, Albert and Elsworth Helman; two sisters: Sandy Haggerty and Diana Smith; one grandchild, and a close friend, Lena Warr.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Robinson-Lytle, Inc., Indiana, where a funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Cynthia W. Carter officiating. Interment will be in Brush Valley Lutheran Cemetery.
