Jason Todd Burkett, 39, of New Florence, PA passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown, PA.

          A son of Edwin R. and Susan K. (Naugle) Burkett, he was born July 14, 1973 in Indiana, PA.

          He was a veteran of the Army and worked as a laborer in construction.

          Todd loved being with his family, the outdoors and animals.

          Surviving are his mother, Susan K. Burkett of New Florence; a brother, Brad Burkett and his wife, Tanya of New Florence; fiancée, Bobbie J. Coachman of New Florence; a niece and nephew, Macey Burkett and Jake Burkett and several aunts and uncles.

          He was preceded in death by his father, Edwin R. in 1999; maternal grandparents, Henry and Elverda Hoffman and paternal grandparents, G. Donald and Freda Burkett.

          The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 P.M. Saturday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA.  A funeral service will be held at 4:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Edward Knapic officiating.

          Interment will be private.
