Mary Jane Manges Lower, 76, of Indiana, passed away Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012 at her home.

A daughter of the late Walter and Anna Manges, she was born Dec. 5, 1935 in Indiana.

Mary was a graduate of Indiana High School, and served her country in the U.S. Air Force.  She previously worked at Robertshaw and Service Master, and in her later years was a homemaker.  Mary loved her family, her two dogs and feeding the birds.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth P. Lower, Sr., whom she married on Sept. 5, 1970; three children: Connie Fairman and husband, Ray, of Home; Kenneth P. Lower, Jr. and wife Antoinette, of Clymer; and Brian L. Lower, Sr. and wife Patsy, of Indiana; 10 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, a sister-in-law, Thelma Chappel, of Indiana; and a niece.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Martin “Jigs” Manges.

Visitation is private and will be held at the convenience of the family.  Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.  Robinson-Lytle, Inc., Indiana,  is in charge of arrangements.
