Norma Mae White, 82, of Phoenix, AZ, formerly of Indiana, PA passed away January 29, 2013 at St. Andrew’s Village after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Born February 16, 1930 in New Bethlehem, PA, she is predeceased by her husband, A. B. White III, her parents Ernest and Lorena Dinger, and her grandson, Benson Adam White.
Norma was owner of Norma White Realty in Indiana, PA from 1985 until 1995. She was a member of the Indiana County Board of Realtors and a Certified Real Estate Appraiser (CREA). She was an active member of the mid-day Rotary Club of Indiana.
She was an avid golfer at both the Indiana Country Club and at the Ahwatukee Country Club in Arizona playing competitive golf until the fall of 2012. She was also a member of the Indiana Elks Club. She was an active member of Christ Episcopal Church in Indiana and (name) in Phoenix.
A loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Norma is survived by a large family: son Senator Donald (Anne) White of Indiana, PA and granddaughter Dr. Abby White (Kris) Youtz of Delaware: daughter Robin (Art) Colamarino of Murrysville, Pa and grandchildren David of Lower Burrel, PA; Steven (Kelly) of West Palm Beach, FL and Nina of Mineola, NY; son David (Mary) White of Pittsburgh, PA and grandchildren Casey (Gena) of Gibsonia, PA, Danny (Bridget) of Gibsonia, PA, Katie (Jeff) Radkowski of Mars, PA, Billy of Raleigh, NC, and MacKenzie of Pittsburgh, PA; and son Steve (Megan) White of Indiana, PA. She was especially proud of her great grandchildren Charlotte, Lucy, Anna Kate, Pierce, and Mary Grace.
Also surviving Norma is her brother Arnold (Betty) Dinger of New Bethlehem, PA and her sister Mildred (Roscoe) Wolfgang also of New Bethlehem, PA.
A memorial service will be held, February 16, 2013 at Christ Episcopal Church, 9th and Philadelphia Streets, Indiana, PA 15701 at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the Kiski School Ben White Scholarship Fund, 1888 Brett Lane, Saltsburg, PA 15681.
