Edward G. Patsolic, 87, of Clymer, PA., passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2013 at Beacon Ridge Nursing Home.
He was the son of Peter and Elizabeth (Mriz) Patsolic, born May 22, 1925 in Dixonville, PA.
Edward Patsolic served in the U.S. Army, first entering in 1943. He was a veteran of World War II, and Vietnam. After serving a distinguished 30 year career, Ed retired in 1973 at the rank of Command Sergeant Major. Following the military, Ed and his wife Toni initially settled in Germany for 21 years, and traveled extensively throughout Europe and the U.S. The Patsolic’s eventually returned to Clymer in 1994.
He is survived by three sisters, Jean Walko and husband George of Bedford, OH; Betty Bevacqua of Niagara Falls, NY; Patty Gentile of Bridgeport, CN; and many Nieces and Nephews.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Antonie G. “Toni” (Menne) Patsolic; one brother, Jack and one sister, Mary Jane Scerbo.
Family and friends are welcome to attend the funeral service on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at 10 a.m. at the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home, Clymer with Msgr. James Gaston officiating. Military Rites will be provided by Clymer American Legion post 222. Interment will follow in the Church of the Resurrection cemetery, Clymer.
