Lincoln “Bud” Gibson III, 85, formerly of Pine Flats and the R.D. Northern Cambria, PA area and of Ravenna and Streetsboro, OH died Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at the Emeritus of Ravenna, OH.

He was born on June 18, 1928 in Cherry Tree, PA to the late Lincoln and Elda (Detwiler) Gibson II.

Bud was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He served as a PFC during the Korean War.

He attended the First Baptist Church of Streetsboro, OH.

Bud was retired from Lamson Sessions in Kent, OH, where he had been employed as a machine operator.

He was also a member of the Streetsboro American Legion and Disabled American Veterans.

Bud is survived by his daughter, Sharon Rawson and husband Stephen of San Antonio, Texas; three grandsons, Troy Ruyten, Patrick Rawson and wife Stephanie and Sean Rawson and wife Kara; two great-grandchildren, Mayla and Lilah Rawson; and his sister, Bonnie Pittman and husband Tom of Cherry Tree, PA.

In addition to his parents, Lincoln was preceded in death by his wife, Betty (Douglas) Gibson in 2005; his two sisters, Margaret Rumsey and Judy Stanick; and his brother, Donald Gibson.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, October 6th from 2-6:00 p.m. at the Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Home, Streetsboro, OH Chapel. Local visitation will held on Monday, October 7, 2013 from 4-8:00 p.m. at the Rairigh Funeral Home in Hillsdale, PA, where a 10:00 a.m. funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 with the Rev. Dr. Daryl S. Jeffers officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Uniontown Cemetery, Cherry Tree, PA.
